Morgan Barnhardt is a member of the Engagement Team for Mesothelioma Hub. She has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from East Carolina University. Morgan has dedicated her career to helping others, and her goal is to provide accurate information to those battling cancers such as lung cancer and mesothelioma. Morgan enjoys skiing, hiking, gardening, and spending quality time with her rescue pets.

How many people have cancer in the world? More than you would think. Approximately one-third of cancer cases are preventable and every February 4th, we recognize World Cancer Day in an effort to raise awareness about this global epidemic to save lives.
The month of October is dedicated to keeping our lungs healthy. Every year, health care advocates strive for ways to keep every community's lungs healthy. There are plenty of tips and tricks to breathe easier. Our top 5 include: not smoking or vaping, preventing exposure to pollutants, protecting your health during flu season, visiting your doctor regularly, and physical activity.
Lung Cancer Center supports everyone affected by diseases like lung cancer and mesothelioma. We have carefully chosen three credible cancer awareness scholarships for students, with deadlines approaching soon.
In 2019 alone, 139,603 people died of lung cancer. According to the relaunch of the Cancer Moonshot Initiative, the Biden-Harris administration hopes to cut the cancer death rate by half in the next 25 years.
