Over the last few years the United States Government has come under fire for its handling of the those prisoners taken during the war on terror. The United States of America was attacked on September 11, 2001 by enemies of the American People; International Terrorists. Since that date the authorities in charge or protecting the American People have made significant progress in rounding up International Terrorist insurgent sleeper cells both in the United States and in countries throughout the world.

Once captured these prisoners or detainees have been interrogated using a number of methods, which have come under criticism by a few. Some of the interrogation techniques have been psychological in nature and others have been said have crossed the line and perhaps could be considered torture. Yet at the same time many detainees have caused serious physical harm to soldier guards. In one incident a US Marine was stabbed thru the eye and into the brain with a shank.

What we need is a truth-making machine, which compels the enemy to tell us the truth, so we no longer need to use more manipulative or forceful techniques to gain the intelligence needed to save innocent lives. If a detainee knows information, which will help us prevent an International Terrorist Attack anywhere in the world, we need that information and time is of the essence and therefore we need to spend the money in R and D to bring these devices to fruition as soon as humanly possible. Think on this in 2006.

    An Illuminatus Speaks:

You will have to decide if this Illuminatus speaks with forked tongue or not. There is no black and white to the matter as I see it.

I have not read a lot of Alan Watts, because people have always told me I sound like him. I promise that even if you think that someone sounds like you or thinks as you do – this is one book that will challenge many things that we all must question. Here is one of many things said by Watts which I agree with.

“Faith is an openness and trusting attitude to truth and reality, whatever it may turn out to be. This is a risky and adventurous state of mind. Belief in the religious sense, is the opposite of faith – because it is a fervent wishing or hope, a compulsive clinging to the idea that the universe is arranged and governed in such and such a way. Belief is holding to a rock; faith is learning how to swim – and this whole universe swims in boundless space.” – Alan Watts

This next piece is from someone I know to be part of the Merovingian families and a real Illuminatus in the good sense. I think it fair to share this with you and she has told me I may share it and anything she has in web sites. However I do not identify her in this medium because she would not want the ego issues and flack.

“There is quite a bit of material in here on the Illuminati or the word and concept thereof. Now, we do not do the conspiracist’s view of Illuminati. Simple logic tells you that what they consider “Arcane Secret Order” contains info they also will not know. So it is safe to discard these Theories.

Simply put, an Illuminati is a Rosicrucian/Hermetic (and sometimes “other”) who has achieved a certain a certain degree and/or heights of various aspects, an enlightened individual who uses such light for his obligation towards the Universe, balancing it and making it a better place to live etc. The Order involved contains enlightenments of mind, soul and body that they will not reveal simply because “inquiring minds want to know”. One must work towards gaining this knowledge and if they have the stuff it takes then they will gain this knowledge. If a seeker doesn’t have the required prerequisites s/he is not going to be able to comprehend them anyway. This is how the info gets corrupted; misunderstanding and second and third hand info.
*smiles gently*I take my Order(s), seriously, they are not a game nor are the applications taken lightly. Most of the questions answered on this particular subject (including Hermetics and other Arcane Orders) regarding the Sacred Mysteries and Knowledge contained herein, can be answered in one sentence: “Join a Rosicrucian/Hermetic Order and find out the answers for yourself. I have done the work why can’t you?”

I have never seen a book on Illuminati that is accurate. Could we find a hint way in the word “Arcane”? Could the dictionary be purposely throwing the uninitiated off? Or is this definition, like with other words, born of how today’s uninitiated view? It is interesting to view a dictionary published at the turn of the century before the conspiracists and other “unhappies” who didn’t feel it necessary to do the work others have and out of covetousness, jealousy, revenge etc. helped form this newer definition which can be found in any newer dictionary.*shrugs* But they cannot touch light like this. This older definition begins with a “Church” history, those who carried the light in ritual (this in itself is interesting*grins impishly*), then to a “16th century Spanish sect who believed in “mental prayer” discarding all rituales, tools” etc (the Mass etc)*grins impishly again* “The Bavarian Illuminati founded in 1776″ (and one that has taken a lot of hits and is probably the seed for many of these erroneous “theories”) “an anticlerical, deistic republican society, The Order Of The Illuminati”, and “persons who claim to have extraordinary knowledge of enlightenment; chiefly of satirical use.” Buddha is an Illuminati, The Christos is an Illuminati, Mother Theresa is certainly an Illuminati, there are a few Sacred Men in Eastern Traditions who hold this title and some in Western Trads. Even those who may be in an Order (within an Order) considered Illuminati, do not hold this distinct honor yet, but trying to work towards it, most never achieve it. Oh btw, an Illuminatis light will never die.

Illuminatis are those illumined who know that it is their obligation to see that others are also so illumed, they do not see themselves as gaining superior enlightenment that others could never possess. They do, however provide appropriate Paths for others to gain this illumination in their lives or as much as they can possibly get in this lifetime. Anyone who says they are an illuminati is usually not one (unless you are in an Order, then you are privy to more than the uninitiated, but promise you will have to work for it.) And Illuminati does not need to be known, have his/her back patted, nor do they care to or want to. They have dealt with ego issues a long time ago.
*smiles softly* I am not into handing out information I worked hard for, I liken this to my expertise in Siddhi/Kundalini/Ayurvedic Medicine, for which I worked hard and long to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to be effective. I can’t give you a brief overview and a couple of tools and expect you to either fully understand all the dynamics and principles and send you out to heal. It takes a personal quest, study and applications as you work through different aspects.”

“Normal day what a treasure you are.”

    Dr. Maxine E. Thompson http://www.maxinethompson.com

This placard graced my late mother’s bedroom wall, and until recently, I didn’t understand what it meant.

After spending a normal vacation with my loved ones in Atlanta and Detroit, I reflected how wonderful it is to enjoy adult children and grandchildren when times are normal. No one in the immediate family was in harm’s way. Everyone is being blessed. One friend is moving into a new house. Instead of coming home for a funeral, or a death watch, I was just home to enjoy the moment. Things are looking up. Lesson learned. We have to treasure our moments of serenity.

Now I’d like to paraphrase this saying and add, “Reading to children, what a treasure it is.”

I often speak on the issue of the shortage of African American books for children and teenagers. Too many of our teenagers are reading books meant for adults because of the shortage of book. Still too many African American teenagers are dropping out of school.

Last summer, when my three-going on four year old grandchild, Darius, visited from Michigan and came to California, we developed a ritual of reading at night. I’ll never forget his words, “That was a good book.” This year, when I visited him in Detroit, it was a pleasure to see the light in Darius’s eyes as he recognized colors and numbers in a book. This was especially exciting because I saw his love for reading grow.

My oldest son, Maurice, age 33, told me that he hated when I took them to the library, but now he does this very same thing with his preteen children, so he’s hoping the seed will be planted as it was in his case. Now Reading is one of his favorite pastimes.

So I’d like to encourage African American writers to write more culturally relevant children books and readers to support more Black children writers.

Make use of your public libraries, which is a treasure trove of information, and a wonderful place to get free books for your children.

As parents are reving up for back to school, take time and invest in reading to your children.

    1. Reading together builds your child’s vocabulary. 2. Reading helps with your child’s imagination. 3. Reading helps create memories your child will later cherish from his childhood. 4. Reading together is a spiritual endeavor like writing. You may be nurturing the mind of the next Toni Morrison. 5. You will see the return on the back end. As they say, “You pay now, (in terms of time invested with your children,) or you pay later.” Just ask parents who were too busy working while their children were growing up, who now have to deal with these adult children’s drama when they didn’t get the lessons right the first time around.

    The scenario…

The company has decided it needs to eliminate costs. Hundreds of jobs are on the line. The executives of each division have been directed to cut costs by 35%. The tension throughout the company is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You know some departments will be totally eliminated because the work can be outsourced to save money.

You are a manager with over 20 years of seniority and you know your department is NOT being eliminated. You breathe a sigh of relief; after all, you do have personal ties to the owners. You show up for a weekly meeting with your boss, and he catches you off guard…your job has been eliminated. Your world changes in an instant! You don’t understand! Your performance reviews have been good for 20+ years! You’ve done your job! Nobody has ever told you that you’re NOT doing a good job! The shock consumes you in the months to come as you try to make sense of it all.

(What you don’t know is that you have long had a reputation of someone who is extremely difficult to work with. Your many internal customers have complained about you all along. You shrugged off the complaints, and your boss chose not to deal with it or reflect it in your performance reviews.)

This scenario is in fact real! Unfortunately, corporations dealt with the same scenario (with a few details changed) over and over again. The lesson learned here…”Inadequate performance management systems” damage individuals and companies.

For the past few years’ companies have furiously worked to upgrade the effectiveness of their performance management systems. They are establishing core competencies, identifying performance objectives and measures, and even talking about ongoing coaching.

A 2002 study by Mercer Human Resource Consulting reveals that ongoing coaching is still in short supply! The data indicates that 78% of employees surveyed said their managers routinely conduct annual performance reviews. It also indicated that 26% said managers routinely provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching.

    Reality Check

Could you be blindsided by a scenario similar to the one mentioned earlier?

My personal belief is that managers (at all levels) don’t give feedback or coach on an ongoing basis because they don’t know how.

Today, there are a multitude of training programs and support systems for managers who really want to learn to coach on an ongoing basis. They can get their own coach or they can attend a workshop like “The Coaching Clinic ©”. More info can be found at www.connectionscoach.com.

In the meantime, here are three ways you can begin to manage performance every day through coaching:

    Acknowledgement

Make time to acknowledge contributions. Give credit where credit is due. Challenge them to play a bigger game. Inspire them to give the performance of a lifetime.

    Development

Partner with them on projects. Do more asking versus telling. Become genuinely curious in their ideas and concepts. Give them the lead role. Support them when they stumble. Encourage them to get up and try again.

    Provide Feedback

Be specific about what exactly makes the difference. Teach them how they can make a difference (do more, do less, keep doing). Incorporate “lessons learned” discussions into every project.

If your company is one that says, “Our employees are our greatest assets”, now is the time to walk the talk. By providing ongoing coaching, you’ll be managing performance every day. And most of all, your employees will feel like they are your greatest assets.

As the price of carbon based fuels continue to rise, many homeowners are hoping for a solution to present itself. Some homeowners however are exploring the installation of the solar panels that will allow them to channel the power of the sun to provide energy for their homes.

When energy prices were low, it was unnecessary to justify the upfront investment of money required to install solar panels, solar water heaters and similar equipment. The reason was simple to understand – it would simply take too long to recoup the cost of the equipment in the form of lower energy bills.

But prices are now higher than many of us ever expected. As energy prices continue to go up, the amount of time required to recoup the upfront cost goes down. In addition, a number of state and local tax incentives make it even easier for homeowners to go solar and save money right away.

The dynamics of this economy have now changed though. The costs of installing solar panels is still high, with a typical two kilowatt installation of solar panels from OVR Solar costing in the region of £10,000 / ($20, 000) in most cases, but special tax incentives and long term energy savings can help homeowners recoup those upfront costs faster than ever before.

Subsidies are also now available. This tax savings can help eligible homeowners recoup some of the costs of installing solar panels and solar water heating systems up front, in addition to the energy savings they will enjoy down the road.

Some states will offer homeowners who install qualifying solar panel or water heating systems to write off a portion of the cost against tax liability, while others will provide a standard tax credit based on kilowatt usage. Still others provide tax relief in the form of property tax reductions or elimination, and many states provide businesses, government agencies and commercial enterprises with special tax breaks as well.

Try running some estimates once you have some figures to see how long it might take for you to break even at today’s fuels prices. However, as the prices for heating oil, gas and other forms of traditional energy continue to soar, so too will the desire for energy freedom.

Take the first step to energy self sufficiency with OVR Solar.

Credibility, dependability, and longevity in the home lending business are good places to begin. Some will quote you precise, competitive rates 8 percent. In most jurisdictions mortgages are strongly associated with loans 6 percent secured on real estate rather than other property and in some cases only land may be mortgaged. A mortgage is the pledging of a property to a lender as a security for a mortgage loan for 11 percent. Different lenders charge different fees. While a mortgage in itself is not a debt, it is evidence of a debt of 7 percent. Although most mortgage experts say that rates 9 percent are pretty much the same wherever you go, give or take this tiny 3 percentage. Both banks and brokers have their strengths and weaknesses. And of course, each loan and each borrower are different. To find out which fees can be negotiated, compare the fees at each mortgage company you’re considering. Brokers work with many mortgage bankers and, as a result, can sometimes find slightly more competitive rates 7 percent perhaps lower but dealing directly with a mortgage banker can move a loan along more quickly. Many of these fees are fixed but some can be negotiated.

See mortgage loan for residential mortgage lending, and commercial mortgage for lending against commercial property. Start with credibility. It’s not easy to know if the prices quoted by lenders are reliable. In other words, the mortgage is a security for the loan that the lender makes to the borrower. Arranging a mortgage is seen as the standard method by which individuals and businesses can purchase residential and commercial real estate without the need to pay the full value immediately. Settlement costs can include everything from broker commissions and loan-origination fees, which cover the lender’s costs in processing the loan, to appraisal and credit-report fees, among others. See which lenders are charging fees 4 percent and for how much.

Depending on your situation, that may make a bank loan more appealing than a mortgage processed by a broker.

It is a transfer of an interest in land, from the owner to the mortgage lender, on the condition that this interest will be returned to the owner of the real estate when the terms of the mortgage have been satisfied or performed.

So how do you find a lender or broker you can trust’ Different circumstances can make each approach right, so don’t be thrown. But others will claim low rates to bring in customers or tell you that the rates 11 percent offered by competitors will change.

While focused, strategic networking is usually the most efficient way to build your professional practice, there are many other ways to market your business. Personal networking may not be appropriate in some areas, or for certain types of services, and some people simply don’t like to do it. The following are the Top 10 methods my clients have used to increase sales and grow their practices without networking:

    1. Newsletters. There are many inexpensive ways to distribute your newsletter, from buying a “packaged” service, to photocopying and mailing, to use of Internet technology. Newsletters keep your name in front of potential clients, and let you share the information you feel is important in a timely way. Remember to publish frequently, and be dependable over the long term.

    2. Writing articles and columns. Every organization has a newsletter, and there are many newspapers and journals that need material on personal growth, health, wellness, communication, relationships and every other aspect of human life. If you enjoy writing, editors are eager for your material, and writing a column brings instant credibility and positive exposure.

    3. Have a Website. Increasingly, customers are expecting to find information about professional services on the Internet. A clean, professional website may cost less than $1000 and work for you 24-hours a day, everyday.

    4. Teach classes. Community colleges, city parks and recreation departments, churches and many other organizations are looking for instructors to teach classes. Often they will do the marketing and provide all your support services, and even pay you! Teaching is a great way to become known and give the community a taste of your expertise!

    5. Volunteer. Whatever your specialty, organizations need your time, your skills and your help. You can volunteer to sit on Boards, answer phones, do their newsletter, or be a consultant – volunteering gets you known, and it can open doors for you!

    6. Work with Sponsors. From insurance reimbursement for medical services to a philanthropist sponsoring an art exhibit, anytime someone else is paying the bill, you can expand your services and reach more people. Employers, educational groups, non-profits, foundations and government agencies can all be sponsors.

    7. Do research. By designing and conducting appropriate research you accomplish several things for your business: You become an expert, you attract people who are interested in your research, you attract volunteers who want to participate, and when you publish the results you gain credibility and again attract attention as an expert.

    8. Groups and Alliances. By combining your skills with a group of other professionals, all of you gain exposure, there are appropriate referrals to others within the group, and over-head costs can be reduced. Often groups are profitable simply by being able to share the cost of renting a large, visible office in a prime location.

    9. Bid for Contract Services. Government agencies, corporations and non-profits all contract for services. These are usually announced in local newspapers, and are called an “RFP” or Request for Proposals. One small contract can open the door to others, and keep you and your practice very busy!

    10. Advertise. Using the Yellow Pages or placing an ad in the local paper or even on the radio (less traditional, but why not?) will bring you business. I place this last because my experience suggests that for most professionals it’s an expensive way to go, but it does work. Remember, placement and consistency (being seen over and over) will be important, so run your advertising for at least a year.

Do you remember when gaming portables were a special breed? They were simply like a small quantity manufacturing line. Didn’t ship in numbers but produced a lot of money on each system. They were the kind of notebooks desired by everybody however the expense was just too much. Simply they were the best laptops about. Having mentioned that the large number of us probably didn’t buy laptops of this nature because of the cost. Recently all that has looked to have altered as the massive players have found the opportunities in laptops for gaming.

They know there is cash to be taken here. They could dictate the sector. Profit margins have been so little lately that this is a great chance to get more money by selling computers. They can also use their gigantic marketing funds to entice buyers further into spending their savings or getting out the charge cards to buy laptops like these ones. In my opinion this could really ruin littler laptop sellers if they don’t differentiate their usp. The top end technology will quickly forge its way into the view of the normal customers. Littler companies cannot really take advantage of a brand name as the bigger manufacturers could.

The recognised brands latest notebooks are receiving a lot of praise as being the best laptops from the media. This is a major opportunity the littler competitors should use to their advantage. Specifying the specification is an experience all us enthusiasts prefer. These kinds of people usually are well educated in the technology and would compare part for part. More often than not these types of buyers are more partial to the specifications than the styling. All purchasers concur that its a great thing. It will cause prices to fall and make high end technology cheaper for people. Things move so fast in this industry that I cannot precisely make any assured claims. New laptop introductions should prolong premium prices. We will discover what we can expect from the gaming laptop sectors large brands.

Building business is not easy to do for anyone. Even the most talented individuals have a hard time. It doesn’t matter if you are selling LED light bulbs, used ultrasound machines or web design in Southern California, it will all have its ups and downs. Here are some key features you have to keep in mind to owning and running your own business.

    Times will get hard.

This goes without saying that sometimes the cash flow just wont bet there. This is hard to realize at first as you may be used to getting a bi weekly paycheck if you work corporate in some cushy job, however when you are in charge of your income, it is a lot less predictable.

You need to prepare for the down times. When those ultrasound machines are not selling, or no one in southern California is buying web design. This is part of being fiscally responsible. If you have employees that rely on your paycheck, you owe it to them to make sure that money will always be in that account.

In the same way that you need to keep the low points in perspective you need to keep the ups in perspective as well. When you get that big check form that huge job, or you have one contact buy 4 thousand light bulbs, you need to put that money aside for the time when you make no sales for 2 months.

If you just remember to keep money in perspective you should be fine.
